Tom Clancy readers??

ok.. i just finished Excutive Orders... i was told that the next book after that is The Bear and the Dragon... well, i started reading The Brer and the Dragon, but it seems like that i have missed something... is there a book in between those two? or does it purposly skip a big time frame....and if not... what is the book in between?
