What could hurt pursuing him? Just try talking to him. If not in person add his facebook or myspace or whatever. Make sure to try and hang alone because that's how you'll see his true colors if he's with his friends he may try and cover it up and be a douche. If he likes you enough he won't care if anyone gives him a hard time. Even if he doesn't end up liking you, wouldn't you rather try and fail rather than not try at all? At least there's a chance.
