Clothing over a tattoo?

I have decided to get a small tattoo and am hoping to get it on my shoulder blade. I don't wear singlet tops and have to wear polo tops for work. I was just wondering if wearing a polo top soon after getting it done would affect it too much while it was healing? After applying the bepanthen cream would it only rub enough to be annoying to me or would it ruin the tattoo?
